My Approach

What to Expect From Me

1. Approachable

I understand that it can be intimidating to start therapy, whether it’s your first session or your fifteenth. I foster a client-led experience, where we go at the pace that feels comfortable to you.

2. Insightful

I offer observations and work with you to identify patterns in the past that help you understand what is happening in the present, so that we can find ways to get unstuck from unhealthy cycles. We work together to generate new perspectives and a deeper understanding of self.

3. Directive

I believe that a therapist’s role isn’t just to listen to your experience, but to offer their expertise, insight, and observations. I want you to feel like you have the ability to make changes in your life, and I see my voice, my thoughts and opinions as part of that process.

What I Expect from My Clients:

Authenticity:

I strive to show up as authentically as possible in hopes that you feel invited to do the same. This authenticity creates real moments of connection and trust, which allows us to tend to the areas you want to work on.

Collaboration:

We need each other to do the work. I see us as a team and I rely on open communication, regular feedback, and input to help you accomplish your goals.

Consistency

Consistency matters—not because you need to do therapy “right,” but because change tends to happen through steady, repeated work over time. I’ll bring structure, attention, and care to our sessions, and I’ll ask you to show up as you are—even when it’s hard or you feel stuck.
